What can I do...to make you look good?

You know your business, your competition, your market. I know how to make you look good, to stand apart from the pack.

I am a small business person, and I understand the need to wear "many hats". But design is one hat you don't need to wear or understand. I will walk you though the process, even if you are not computer savvy or instinctively know the best way to present your business.

Where to begin?

The design process requires a meeting of the minds between designer and client, and the establishment of integrity and trust. Some people have no idea of what they want, and some have definite ideas. The sooner the client and designer "click" with their ideas, the faster the project is done.

We need to talk.

I would have to meet with or speak with you to determine what your needs are, your vision of your business, and how you are positioned in your industry against your competition. This beginning dialogue is important to be sure we are on the same wave length regarding the look and use of the design, and also what it will represent. Of course there is no obligation for you for this meeting, but it's extremely important to explore the possibilities and guidelines of us working together. From my understanding of your needs I would draw up a Contract and Statement of Work to spell out the project to be done. A one third deposit will get me started on your project.

Give and take.

Much of this exchange can be done online, saving us both time and energy. If you have Acrobat Reader, I send you ideas in various stages of work, and you tell me what you like, what you don't like, and what you want changed. (If you don't have Acrobat Reader, you can download this free program from Adobe's website, www.adobe.com, available for all platforms.)

After this back and forth exchange of ideas, the design takes shape. When these ideas or "roughs" are narrowed down to one or two possibilities, another third of the total is due. When we reach a final version, I invoice you for the final amount. I burn a CD for you with the design in various formats for print, web, etc.

I have helped many small and start up businesses create an identity for themselves and it is some of the most satisfying work I've done. Contact me today and let's get started!
